Your update re; radiation detection.

I thought about that. It could be a red cell exercise. Team plays role of terrorists and hides in urban areas with a device containing radiation and drone team tries to find them. I suppose there is a form of radiation that could be used that wouldn't harm the red cell team? I don't know. However, the main issue I have with that theory is that the bulk of the testing would be done in the middle of nowhere. Hide radiation out on some proving ground and then see if the drones can find it. I'm not sure that the urban environment adds anything to the proving. Also, such an exercise would be short in duration and limited in geographic area. Maybe a few square miles.

If those really are radiation detection drones, then there must be a real credible threat that foreign actors have a nuclear device(s) in our cities.

It still doesn't explain drones buzzing Coast Guard ships, flying around and over military installations and some other aggressive or odd behaviors.

Another possibility is drug smugglers. They would be acting just like a foreign enemy; launching cargo drones from ships to deliver illegal drugs to dealers in coastal cities, instead of weapons. Of course, drug dealers and foreign enemies are not mutually exclusive. Both could be happening.

Some other scenarios could be (probably are) occurring within the same time frame. Some of the violations of military installation airspace could be 'red cell' exercises. That is secret teams of US military personnel with orders to probe and test defenses to detect vulnerabilities. There is no reason that the red cell exercises wouldn't be the result of actual foreign spying activity using drones. So the red cell activities and the actual foreign probes get jumbled together in media presentations.

Then there are going to be false sightings of various types; including pranksters and honest misidentification. There are also going to be hobby drones in the air at any given time. Challenging to parse out what is real and what is an actual threat.

All that said, there is sufficient evidence that there are relatively large, expensive, cargo drones, flying in large numbers, often in coordinated swarms, off the NE coast - and that is a problem that needs to be solved ASAP. During a conference with NJ politicians and LEOs, it was revealed that the cargo type drones were flying - up to 50 of them - in 35 mph+ cross winds. Apparently, no hobbyist or LEO risks flying an expensive drone in those weather conditions. The coordinated flight patterns are well beyond the capability of hobbyists and LEOs. The cost of so many of those drones is outside the means of hobbyists and LEOs.

I think the cargo drones use lights to appear in compliance with guidelines and to obscure their shape, which is distinctive of cargo drones. Moon light and street lights can reveal the shape if the drone is flying dark. These drones also probably fly in non-linear paths to their destinations so as to confuse anyone who might be able to track them and, thus, conceal their destination.

Makes sense to me as well, because the alternative would be FAR worse. And having the public get all worked up about a potential dirty bomb would be a heck of a lot more disruptive. Especially if they're around major metropolitan areas and an interruption to critical services or work would cost massive amounts of money or affect military readiness. Recall when massive bonuses were given to bridge rebuilders following an earthquake or a ship blocking a port with a bridge laying across its bow.

I think there's still a major threat of terrorist activity on our shores, and we (the public) don't know the nature of the attacks. They might also be disrupting weapons shipments to terrorists that might be getting ready for an uprising or attacks. By doing so, they could be hiding their intelligence sources via more overt actions. In other words, increase the likelihood that they could be detected or mapped out, and it would squelch possible arms shipments or force such shipments into the daylight.

THE SIMPLE DRONE EXPLANATION:

[...CTH previously noted the absurdity of the story narratives around these “drones.” Of course, the U.S. military know what these drones are and exactly what they are about.

Occam’s Razor applied essentially links back to this press release from 2023:

[[EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NEW JERSEY, UNITED STATES, June 2, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — An agreement to create a test and evaluation corridor for the development of Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and automated Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technologies was recently signed by officials representing U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM), Air Mobility Command (AMC), the National Aerospace Research & Technology Park (NARTP), and the Atlantic County Economic Alliance (ACEA).

“This agreement is a significant accomplishment and will demonstrate the NARTP’s ability to facilitate aviation research,” said NARTP Board Chairman Mark Loeben, a retired Air Force major general and current American Airlines captain. “USTRANSCOM and AMC are major players in aviation. Their interest in working with the NARTP helps to advance both the development of the NARTP and the emerging aviation industry in New Jersey’s Atlantic County.”

Under the terms of the Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), the parties will cooperatively develop a prototype dual-use U.S. East Coast test and evaluation corridor for the demonstration, development, and evaluation of military, commercial, academic, and Federal Government UAS and AAM technologies with future application to strategic airlift capabilities of the U.S. Air Force.

UASs are often referred to as drones, while AAM involves the use of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to move people and cargo between places not easily served by other modes of transportation. Both UAS and AAM technologies are being developed rapidly by government and military agencies and private industry and the testing corridor will help to safely integrate them into the national airspace.

The availability of the UAS/AAM evaluation corridor between Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL) in New Jersey and Dover AFB in Delaware allows AMC and USTRANSCOM to rapidly assess technical and operational concepts for UAS and AAM, and to develop measures of value in operational scenarios. What makes the designated airspace a “dual use” corridor is that the CRADA facilitates the launching and landing of civilian craft from non-DOD sites within the corridor, including the NARTP. Many of the tests and experiments envisioned would only be possible with a dedicated corridor.]] Read more:

Teresa,

That is an interesting revelation and it needs to be explored.

Some questions;

1. Why are the drones now deemed to pose a danger to commercial air traffic (see NY Gov's actions as of last night)? Would this lawful program really allow its drones to get out of control and threaten commercial air flights?

2. Why isn't the state of NJ and/or the feds simply explaining like you just did and putting a lid on the panic? Don't they owe it to law enforcement, elected officials and the public; all of whom seem unaware of what you provided as an answer?

3. Why are the drones doing stupid stuff like buzzing Coast Guard ships? That is very irresponsible for one thing and, for another, risks having the drones shot down.

4. Your post speaks of a "dedicated corridor" - these things do NOT appear to be adhering to a dedicated corridor.

Occam's Razor refers to the simplest explanation that accounts for ALL of the observed phenomena. I don't think your explanation does account for all of it. More than one thing can be happening at the same time. There can be a proposed program like the one you posted and there can be nefarious activity, all involving drones.

The presence of a race car track in a town doesn't mean that every speeding car in the vicinity is a race car engaged in a sanctioned competition.

Good questions, and I certainly have no answers! The most frustrating thing is that I believe SOMEBODY DOES have answers...and refuses to inform all of us dupes.

if they didnt want them to be seen they would not have lights.

they could certainly fly higher, too.

the chinese national who was arrested for flying a drone over vandenburg had altered the drone to fly higher, presumably to avoid detection.

to me, that points to a psyop.

"The one [guess] you like best" is plausible. Do you have any comments on the citizen-reported drone properties of draining batteries of citizens' drones sent to troubleshoot the non-identified drones, and that some appear in some videos as spherical / spheres? My gut tells me that the US military, at a minimum, knows more than they will say. The silence is not a good sign; is worrisome, and stupid.
