My biggest gripe has been the automatic enrollment of people (legal or illegal) into voting rolls. I'm of the belief that if you don't have the motivation to get your butt off the couch to have your vote heard, then you shouldn't be handed/mailed a ballot. I'm not disenfranchising anyone. Just showing true intent to be a participating member of the citizenry, and not allowing someone else to speak for you directly through your inaction. I agree with cleaning the voter rolls annually or bi-annually, before the 1st primary or special election of the year.
Totally agree. Remove the existing rolls, the software that manages it, and the machines where they reside. Going even further, remove the existing software and machines for tabulation.
I think people like you and me (goal-oriented, detail-oriented, purpose-driven, seeking 'truth' over performance or symbolism) are focusing on a good goal: to genuinely secure elections. I feel the same as you, but I think we are in a small minority. Most people just want to feel good about themselves and feel like they have a purpose and are somehow 'making a difference'. The stated goal is a tight election system, but for most people concerned with elections it's probably subconsciously secondary. How many would accept immediate and ongoing public ridicule and shame by strictly following their government job description? Tina Peters?
You mention federal and state constitutional authority and some reasons why elected officials who could act often don’t. I agree with J. Adams that our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people, and B. Franklin (attributed) saying that we have a Republic, if you can keep it. I've harped on this before, but we're in a spiritual crisis of moral character - sliding down a slippery slope to a point where a majority finally become uncomfortable enough to put principle ahead of their own comfort and ambition.
We're not there yet. I think we'll get there, but we have a lot of slippery slope yet to slide down, probably beyond our lifetimes. But then the pendulum will pause and begin swinging the opposite direction.
That's my opinion anyway, but I'm certainly open to debate.
It's awesome you put this into words. Living the infighting battle back in 2021-2024 was not fun. Now, I'm just tired!
But, those that created that infight battle end up winning. I lost the passion to keep researching when the only believer in what I did was myself!

There is. I was given critical new information that puts my conclusions in a different light. Until that is resolved, I took down articles written before the new information was available.
Glad I saw this. I've been working on a paper that attempts to pull together your many postings and summarize your findings in a format that others might find easier to digest.
