“When you’re 15, I’ll give you a thousand dollars or a car. That will be your stake. With that, you’re on your own.” That was what my sister and I were told pretty much every week of our lives. When I turned 15 in 1980, I was worried how I was going to make a living on my own. My mom had already made me sign a document promising to give her the first $50,000 I earned for the privilege of not being kicked out onto the street right away. Another (not legal) document, “Emancipation Proclamation,” made me fully independent, relieving my mother of all parental responsibilities. The money or the car, needless to say, were not forthcoming.

I fully understand now why you had to take a break from your computer work - in many ways it is soul killing compared to the joy you must experience when painting.
I hope and pray that all of us will be able to pursue our bliss and happiness when President Trump gets back in office.
I too am waiting to start painting again. The Lord audibly spoke to me to paint. I argued with him after asking for direction. He said paint again, more discussion, finally in a louder voice PAiNT. Ok. Within 10 minutes he further confirmed it by showing me a program featuring an actor who had painted on various set locations and had donated them to a charity art auction for UNICEF. Hammer down, sentence set! Right now I’m a full time 24/7 caregiver for an Alzheimer’s patient. Have been for 5 years now.
But in the future I plan on combining outdoor sessions with my current prayer walk ministry. Walk and pray! Pray and paint, what a marvelous destiny! Shalom, Shalom
